Remembrance Day Parade

Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 136 will be hosting its annual Remembrance Day Parade. The parade will commence at their office (21 Charles St, Milton, ON L9T 2G5) to the cenotaph at Victoria Park.

An Evening with Waubgeshig Rice

FirstOntario Arts Centre, Mattamy Theatre
After much anticipation, our One Book, One Milton event with author and journalist Waubgeshig Rice is this month! He'll delve into his work including his best-selling novel, Moon of the Turning Leaves.
 
Tickets are limited so grab your tickets as soon as possible! Purchase a ticket for $20 or you may opt for a $35 package that includes both a ticket and a copy of his book.

The Red Scarf Project

December 1st is World AIDS Day, when red scarves, mittens, and hats line the streets to bring awareness to HIV/AIDS in our communities. 
 
In honour of this special campaign, we are encouraging the community to knit red scarves, mittens, and hats to donate to the Positive Health Network serving Hamilton, Halton, Haldimand, Norfolk, and Brant for those in need. Knitted wear can be dropped off at any MPL branch during regular operating hours.

Write a Letter to Santa!

Santa loves reading all the letters that are sent to him, drawings and pictures are encouraged too! Drop by and write a letter to Santa at our North Pole writing station! We’ll make sure they are mailed off by December 6, 2024.

For children 2 - 12 years of age accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Supplies will be provided.

Sweet Steps with Diabetes Hopes Foundation Canada

Join us, along with the Diabetes Hope Foundation Canada, as they share their newly published picture book Sweet Steps. The story is based on the real-life experiences of youth living with Type One Diabetes (T1D) and follows a young dancer as she navigates life with diabetes through self-advocacy and with the support of others in her community.
