Hi [First Name], here's what's happening at Milton Public Library!

Exciting updates are happening at MPL!

All branches now offer all new 3D printers.

Our Sherwood Branch now has a new interactive display and a tech table adding more tech experiences for our patrons.

A laptop kiosk has also been installed at the Main Library, which includes power banks for in-library device charging.

Join us for MPL’s first Tech Fair on October 19, where local organizations will showcase the latest in technology and innovation.

Save the date for our annual book sale from November 9 - 16 at the Main Library.

Finally, we are closing our Medicine Learning Garden at Beaty Branch on October 5, marking the end of the season with a harvest celebration and an Indigenous-led smudge ceremony.

We've partnered with several community organizations to collect non-perishable items throughout October in support of those in need during Diwali. Donation bins will be at all branches, with items going to Food for Life.

Rice, cooking oil, flour, Indian spices, pasta, and pasta sauce are especially needed.

Spooky Stories by the Campfire

Join us for an evening of spooky stories and activities around the campfire at Kelso Conservation Area picnic site 001.

For families with children 8 years of age and older. Each adult must register separately.

Please note: There is a $9 fee per person, children are free with a paying adult. MPL is not responsible for transportation to Kelso.

Little Mosque on the Tundra

In recognition of Islamic Heritage Month, we invite families to join this special storytime to hear the story of Canada's most northern Mosque, and how it made the journey from Winnipeg to Inuvik. Children will create a craft to take home.

Calling all writers! MPL's short story contest is back and we want you to enter. Students from grades 6 - 12 are invited to submit their short stories of 1500 words maximum, on any topic of their choosing to our panel of judges.

Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in 2 age groups: Grades 6 - 8 and Grades 9 - 12.
