New Moon Celebration

Join us for an all-day event celebrating the new moon and the upcoming end of Ramadan.
 
All ages are welcome to come and learn about Eid through storytime, henna art (first come, first served), and a collaging workshop. There will also be live, calming music and an Arabic Storytime in the afternoon.

Throughout April, all three branches will have an in-library exhibit celebrating and showcasing Sikh history and culture in Canada. Learn about their cultural, social, and historical contributions to Canada. Presented in partnership with the Sikh National Archives.

Drive up and drop off your used, broken, and unwanted laptops, cell phones, and other electronic devices and accessories at the Sherwood Community Centre to be refurbished and circulated back to those in need in the local community.
 
Donations will be safely recycled or refurbished and circulated back to the community to support individuals and families in need.

Catherine will share her book Twelve in a Race, a read-aloud rhyming book about the origin story of the Chinese zodiac. Find Your Formalwear @ MPL
What do you remember from your prom? Your friends, the music, and likely what you wore. But prom costs can add up quickly and fairy godmothers are in short supply these days, so to help out Milton Public Library is holding a formal wear donation drive. We'll be collecting formal wear during April at all three of our library branches, and then on May 15 and 16 at the Sherwood branch teens can come and pick out their perfect outfit.

For over 20 years, Amnesty International’s annual Write for Rights campaign has transformed the lives of people whose rights have been wronged. Teens will view a short video synopsis on highlighted cases from Amnesty International. They will then write a letter to help the cause.
